Addressing Men's Violence against Women and Girls through Primary Prevention - Engaging Young Men

This learning session Addressing Men's Violence Against Women and Girls Through Primary Prevention: Engaging Young Men with Zero Tolerance and hosted by Equally Safe in Practice (ESiP) will introduce Zero Tolerance’s newly launched Strategic Communications Toolkit.  The toolkit brings together evidence and practical guidance on how to communicate effectively with men about countering violence against women and girls.

The session, presented by Lottie Aql, Engagement Officer at Zero Tolerance, will explore how strategic communications can support long-term social change, drawing on evidence about how people think, form opinions, and shift attitudes as part of violence prevention efforts.  We will discuss how values-based framing and messaging can engage men in Scotland to ensure a joined up approach that tackles the root cause of such violence- gender inequality.
